The Garden State Green blog started because of an interest to know more than what is being told in the newspapers and the 11 O'clock news. We realized long ago that you have to pay attention and seek out information if you really want to know what's going on in the world. This includes environmental issues, health related news, organic food topics, as well as what's happening with people and society as a whole.
We realize that many things are decided because of money and because of lobbyists fighting for big corporations' best interest. The media sells news. It doesn't always mean we are being told the truth and a lot is definitely being left out. In order to understand and adapt to the changing world around us, it is our job to educate ourselves about what's really going on. With this in mind, it is our mission to spread information that we believe will benefit the human race and the planet for years to come. It's about being in the know instead of being in the dark.
We provide ongoing snapshots of news we find to be useful, informative and hopefully helpful. The goal is to be a local resource to our neighbors in Morris County, New Jersey. Many of the posts you will see within the blog are from outside resources and are noted as such. Other posts are written by the members of Garden State Green and should continue to increase as the blog develops.
